Laura Ashley is one of the world’s best-loved fashion, home decoration and furnishing brands, synonymous with style, quality and designs that evoke memories of the English countryside. With over 150 stores in the UK and 100 franchises worldwide the brand has come a long way from its humble beginnings. In 1953 Laura Ashley, a fashion and textiles designer from Wales, started printing fabric with her husband Bernard at their kitchen table. A £10 investment in wood for a screen, dyes and some linen saw the beginning of the creation of a global lifestyle brand.

Some sixty years later following its worldwide success in the retail sector Laura Ashley’s love of creating beautiful spaces within the home was extended to the hotel environment at the Manor in Elstree. Transformation of The Belsfield, a stunning Victorian country house on the edge of Lake Windermere, followed in July 2014. Since that time The Iliffe in Coventry has been completely refurbished to offer luxurious and welcoming accommodation. Later this year we look forward to the reopening of Burnham Beeches in Burnham; the latest addition to the Laura Ashley Hotel portfolio.
